I have been a police officer for 20 years, and have been running regularly for 22 years. This year I will be competing in my 20th consecutive year in the Western States Police and Fire Games, winning over 80 medals in events such as the 1/2 marathon, 10k cross country, biathlon, basketball and volleyball. I have run three marathons, having qualified for Boston twice. I have volunteered for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics for the past 17 years, having served on the Northern California Executive Council and Marin County Coordinator. I run because I can and for those who can’t. I am fortunate to be able to do what I can.
