I work for the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department as a patrol Sergeant assigned to the Guerneville Sub-Station. I have been in law enforcement for over 18 years. I have been athletic my entire life. I have competed in over 35 triathlons from the sprint distance all the way up to a full Ironman. I have also run numerous 10k’s, ½ and full marathons. I have competed in the Police & Fire Olympics numerous times too. I am currently training for another Ironman triathlon. I have competed in the Providian Relay five times. Deputy Gary Thornton, Ben’s father, is one of my deputies that I supervise. I would do anything to help support Gary and his son Ben and that is why I am doing this race again. I hope to raise a little more awareness about how important organ donation is as it can literally save lives.
